Who Was Taraji P. Henson Before Empire and Hidden Figures?

Taraji P. Henson has blown up in the last few years because of her roles in Empire and Hidden Figures, but she’s been an actress for many years before those two roles. In fact, it all started in 1998 when she was Tammy in Streetwise.

Since then she has been a part of 32 more movies and has three lined up for the next two years (Acrimony, Proud Mary and The Best of Enemies). What movies were the biggest that she has played in? Well, you may remember her in Four Brothers, Hustle & Flow, Smokin’ Aces, The Curious Case of Benjamin Button, The Karate Kid or maybe Think Like a Man and its sequel Think Like a Man Too.

In her time as an actress, she has won BET Awards, NAACP Image Awards, Critics’ Choice Television Awards, Golden Globe Awards and Screen Actors Guild Awards among others.
