The NBA season is long and hard and unfortunately the amount of minutes played by certain guys can lead to injuries. Sometimes these things are inevitable though. In the past week we have seen multiple stars in the NBA fall to injury.
Kevin Durant is the big name in the NBA who will be missing time due to injury. He sprained his MCL and suffered a bone bruise after teammate Zaza Pachulia awkwardly fell into him against the Wizards the other night. The team is saying he’ll miss at least four weeks, but should be able to play come playoff time.
Another big injury in the NBA is the loss of Joel Embiid to a leg injury. The specifics around the injury are vague, but we know it involves his left knee and that he is done for the season. The star big man was averaging just over 20 points per game to go along with 2.5 blocks and 7.8 rebounds. Amazingly he did this in just 25.4 minutes per contest.
These two stars of the NBA will be missed as the news of their injuries comes not long after hearing Kevin Love would be missing six weeks due to a knee injury as well.
