If you’ve ever dreamed of traveling to New Orleans for warm beignets in Jackson Square then this upcoming New Orleans Jazz Festival may be the reason to go. The annual celebration of Jazz and contemporary music takes place April 28-30 and May 4-7 at the New Orleans Fair Grounds.
Scheduled to appear at this year’s festival are Tom Petty & The Heartbreakers, Stevie Wonder, New Orleans native Harry Connick Jr.(his father was once the DA of New Orleans) Dave Matthews, Snoop Dogg, Meghan Trainor, Lorde, Pitbull, Elle King, Maroon 5 and Usher. Regular or advance single-day tickets are already available for sale, and begin at $70. Admission at the festival gate is $80. The festival is planning on honoring Cuba in its themes and activities this year.
