From coast to coast the sports world is buzzing. The NBA All Star weekend just concluded, college basketball is heating up and baseball’s offseason never seems to sleep. From Washington DC to Los Angeles there’s always something going on in the world of sports.
For instance, Matt Wieters signed himself a nice two-year contract with the Washington Nationals to be their catcher. The deal is worth $21 million and he has the ability to opt out after one season if he so pleases. The Nationals needed to replace an All Star in Wilson Ramos and did quite well for themselves with this signing if you ask us.
Out in Los Angeles, Magic Johnson was named the President of Basketball Operations for the Los Angeles Lakers on Tuesday. Following this move, the Lakers fired Mitch Kupchak, the General Manager, and also rid themselves of Jim Buss who was the Executive Vice President of Basketball Operations.
