Artists and Who They Backed in Presidential Elections

It has recently been announced that Elton John will not play at the Presidential inauguration. It seems that President Elect Donald J. Trump thought it would be a great idea, but should have checked with Elton, who denounced his appearance upon hearing he would entertain. Whoops!

Did you know that Fleetwood Mac not only endorsed President Clinton, but their song “Don’t Stop” was a key tune at all the ceremonies?

Bernie Sanders received the endorsements in song and word from Simon and Garfunkel and Neil Young, while Ted Nugent loudly supported soon to be President Trump. REM, Aerosmith, and Twisted Sister protested the use of their songs for Trump this year.

Paul McCartney, Beyoncé, and Jon Bon Jovi worked hard to get Hillary elected this political season, while Elvis endorsed then President elect Nixon.
