The weekend is over and we know you’re bummed. We are too because this weekend was just so great. There were many big games to watch and even the Heisman ceremony occurred on Saturday night. Let’s break down what all happened over the weekend….
Saturday night the Heisman ceremony was held and Lamar Jackson took home the award. He was the heavy favorite going into this one and he proved to be the winner by the night’s end. Deshaun Watson finished second.
Army played an amazing game and took down Navy Saturday. They were the lone FBS game on Saturday and they really stole the show. Army scored a go ahead touchdown in the middle of the fourth quarter to eventually beat Navy 21-17. This was their first win over the Midshipmen since 2001 when they won 26-17.
Charlie Strong was given the South Florida job this weekend. That’s an interesting choice because of the fit, a group of five school, in Florida where Strong’s best quarterback went to high school, Teddy Bridgewater.
Winners in the NFL included the Lions, Falcons, Steelers, Dolphins, Titans, Jets, Bucs and Packers among many others.
