Movies and Music That We Love

This Christmas you’ll see plenty of movies on TV that have all your favorite music throughout the film. ‘Home Alone’ a holiday faborite will have up to 12 songs used to enhance a scene.

Movies and music often times go hand in hand in telling a story on the silver screen, and we’ve decided to share the best songs from the moves we love. There are so many we’ve also decided to share this list over two days.

The 1982 film classic ‘Fast Times at Ridgemont High’ showcased Jackson Browne’s “Somebody’s Baby,’ and tunes from Joe Walsh, Don Henley and Quatrflash.

Who could forget the use of Huey Lewis and the News tune “The Power of Love” in the movie “Back to the Future?” “Vision Quest” is the perfect 80s movie that brought hits “Crazy For You” by Madonna, “Only the Young” from Journey, “Time for Me to Fly” by REO Speedwagon and “Harden My Heart” from Quarterflash.

Bob Seger’s “Shakedown” appeared in the Eddie Murphy movie “Beverly Hills Cop II” and was the perfect song for the perfect comedy-crime movie. Producer John Hughes brought the house down with the Simple Minds song “Don’t You (Forget About Me)” in the 80s classic “The Breakfast Club.” The song had more staying power than most of the actors in the film.
