It was one year ago this week that Adele released arguably the best album of the year and the entire century. Of course we’re talking about “25.” This album had huge hits like “When We Were Young” and “Send My Love (To Your New Lover), but none were bigger than “Hello.” This song blew away the country peaking at number one on many singles charts.
“25” has not won a Grammy yet, but don’t start a war over it! Because it was released November 20th, it didn’t qualify for the 2016 Grammys. It will surely win at least one Grammy in 2017.
The album’s success is better than the rest and it’s probably easier to name the countries it did NOT chart number one at (South Korea and Japan) than the ones it did (New Zealand, Portugal, US, UK, Sweden, Switzerland, France, Croatia, Australia and Austria among many others).
We are so very thankful for Adele for dropping her album “25” this week last year!
