The People’s Take on the Hall of Fame

The 2017 Rock and Roll Hall of Fame nominees list was announced a few weeks ago, which included many deserving performers. Rolling Stone magazine recently did a reader’s poll of who they wanted to see inducted in the Hall, and the list is very interesting. The people have spoken, see if you agree.

The Cars have been playing rock and roll for decades, delivering classic tunes like “Just What I Needed,” “My Best Friend’s Girl” and “You Might Think” and clearly have been overlooked by the trustees.

How can you have a hall of fame than omits the Moody Blues? This band brought in full symphonies and a different kind of rock and roll to the music scene in the mid-60s.

Although many bands have waited years to be in the Hall, Pearl Jam is in its first year of eligibility, but deserving to be included as a hall of fame member.

You may disagree, but the Cure, Little Feat, Electric Light Orchestra, Yes, Janet Jackson, Warren Zevon and Jethro Tull received reader support as deserving nominees.
