Did you know that the BBC Radio 1’s Teen Awards went down this past Sunday? Well, the award show is in their seventh year and it was quite the event. Hosts for the event included Dua Lipa, Nick Grimshaw and two members of the group Bastille, Dan and Kyle.
There were big winners all the way around, but in the movie industry the Best Film winner was Suicide Squad. Led by Will Smith, Jared Leto, Margot Robbie and company, the movie took home the award.
The show was more than just a celebration of great talent on stage from the music and movie industries. Four teens were celebrated for their heroic battles against cancer and other life threatening conditions. They put things in perspective showing us all that it’s not just the ones on the big screen that can be a hero.
