Monday’s Music Headlines

It’s Monday and if we told you how many days there were till Christmas you would get even more depressed. Let’s see if we can’t cheer you up with some music news headlines…

Fleetwood Mac’s Stevie Nicks announced recently that she will be on the road for a solo tour, kicking off October 25th in Phoenix, lasting through the fall.

If you’re a Motown fan you may have heard that there’s a new book about the stars of the Motor City in “Motown: The Sound of Young America,” available now at your favorite book shop. The ‘tell all’ is written by a former record executive and Billboard magazine editor Adam White and Motown insider Barney Ales.

Those on tour at various times this fall are Foreigner with the Black Crowes Kevin Robinson, Journey, Steely Dan, the Doobie Brothers and more.

Birthdays this week include Chicago’s Peter Cetera, David Clayton Thomas of Blood Sweat and Tears, Richard Marx, and Ron Blair of Tom Petty and the Heartbreakers.
