When the Global Citizen festival occurs on September 24 in Central Park, New York, it’ll be Demi Lovato headlining the event and not Selena Gomez. Of course, Selena is dealing with her health issues, so Demi has been asked to step in and replace her.
The addition of Demi should come as no surprise considering her background of confidence and desire to speak out. The Global Citizen festival has a goal of making women’s equality relevant everywhere all around the world as well as helping with hunger, education and cleanliness.
Others to be headliners at this event in the past include Kendrick Lamar, Rihanna, Major Lazer and Metallica.
Demi is currently out on tour with Nick Jonas on the Future Now tour, which is spanning the entire United States.
