Serena Williams Withdraws From Open Due to Injury

Serena Williams is one of if not the greatest female tennis player out there, but unfortunately she’s battling a injury that will keep her from participating in an few upcoming tournament that is around the corner. She has had to withdraw from the Western & Southern Open due to a shoulder injury that she isn’t ready to come back from.

After attempting to practice on Monday, she decided that she would need to withdraw from the Open. She’s not the only one to withdraw from the tournament as Novak Djokovic also withdrew because of injury. His injury was to his wrist.

Serena is coming off a disappointing first round loss in the Olympics, but will surely get back in the winner’s circle before we know it.
