Movies Opening This Weekend – August 5th – 2016 [videos]

This weekend, Hollywood brings to life some very interesting films that are as diverse as our big country. If you’re a fan of Comic-Con, then ‘Suicide Squad’ is for you, with all the fantasy and drama you’ll need this summer. Here’s a twist – ‘Look Who’s’ Taking’ meets ‘Cats’ in the modern day film ‘Nine Lives,’ as Kevin Spacey begins life as a cat. Award winning actor Greg Kinnear, a struggling off Broadway actor, deals with the loss of his wife; now left to raise a young boy on his own. Their lives offer new starts, but is may cost more than they’re prepared to pay.

Five Nights in Maine (2015)

A young African American man who recently loses his wife travels back to her home state of Maine, visiting with her mom and his in-laws. Grief affects everyone differently, and this film shows the many colors of sadness. It’s a must see this weekend. [watch trailer]

Suicide Squad (2016)

Summer is hot and humid, and the storyline of this Hollywood spy movie will warm the theatre even more. A clandestine government agency employs the 2016 version of the ‘Dirty Dozen’ to save the world – again. Comic-Con hits the silver screen in the nick of time.
