When “Anti” was released at the end of January this past year, we’re not sure anyone expected the kind of response it has received. The album has peaked at number one on huge charts like the US Billboard 200 and the US Top R&B/Hip-Hop Albums chart to go along with four other charts across the globe. In total, the album peaked inside the top 10 in over 25 charts across the world. Simply amazing.
Recently, the album has hit one billion streams on Spotify, making it her first album to ever do so. Can you blame Spotify users for wanting to hear hits like “Needed Me,” “Kiss It Better” and “Work?”
“Anti” is Rihanna’s first album release since “Unapologetic” in 2012 and “Talk That Talk” in 2011. In the earlier part of here career, she released seven albums in eight years with her first coming in 2005 (Music of the Sun) and the last of that streak coming in 2012.
