Big Sean’s Anniversary of Debut Album

It was five years ago this week that we all witnessed Big Sean release his debut album, “Finally Famous.” It certainly did make him famous with hit after hit on the album. Before it he had released a trilogy of mixtapes, but this album really put him on the map.

“Finally Famous” ended up peaking at number three on the US Billboard 200 and number two on the US R&B/Hop-Hop Albums, both major feats for a young artist.

Who could forget hits like “My Last” with Chris Brown, “Marvin and Chardonnay” featuring Roscoe Dash and the great Kanye West, and last but not least, “Dance (A$$)?” With songs on the album like that, it should come as no surprise that it sold 87,000 units in its first week.

June 28, 2011 was the date of the anniversary and it’s one we’re sure he’ll remember with the amount of success “Finally Famous” has had.
