When Demi Lovato sat down and spoke with American Way, we’re not sure anyone expected her to be as candid as she was. When she did though, she revealed that she didn’t think she would reach 21 years of age. In what is a shocking revelation, Demi says that her addiction to drugs and her battle with bulimia. She also revealed that she would cut herself when she was younger.
Demi got into the entertainment industry and issues with OxyContin and cocaine began, but she has battled through that. Her bulimia issues stemmed from seeing her mom and grandmother go through the same fight over body issues.
What an incredible story Demi is, as she continues to be an inspiration for girls and women everywhere. Four years ago this March she began her sobriety and we’re one of the many proud of her fight.
