Ireland, Scotland, Wales and the UK are exceptional countries, surrounded by water and thousands of years of war and peace. Many of our favorite singers and band come from this part of the world, some you may have not known exactly where.
Sam Smith is only 24 years old, and been nominated for six Grammy Awards having won this year won Grammys for Best New Artist, Best Pop Vocal Album, Song and Record of the Year. In addition Sam scored the “Spectre” Bond theme song.
U2 has sold over 100 million albums, moved heaven and earth in the work vs. AIDS, and is likely to be the most significant group of activists and music san of our day. Oh, and they are from Ireland.
At 5’2, Sheena Easton was far larger in life than she was by stature. In the early 80s, Sheena won a talent contest and started rolling out million dollar singles like “9 to 5,” and “For Your Eyes Only,” a James Bond theme song. Sheena also appeared on the popular ‘Miami Vice’ TV show opposite Don Johnson as his short term love interest. Sheena was born in Bellshill, North Lanarkshire, Scotland.
