A Few Musicals Out on Tour That You Must See

Be sure to find some time for a few musicals that may come to your town. Here are three of the best on tour right now…

If you like Motown music then you’ll love “Motown the Musical.” Think ‘Broadway meets Woodward Avenue Detroit’, and you’ll hear and feel the Motown vibe as the story of Berry Gordy, The Four Tops, Aretha Franklin, Smokey Robinson and the Miracles, Temptations and more come to life in this wonderful theatrical production.

“Jersey Boys,” the musical, is about four guys from Jersey that became the legendary 60s and 70s ‘Frankie Valli and The Four Seasons’ with chart topping hits like “Sherry,” “Big Girls Don’t Cry,” “Walk Like A Man,” “Can’t Take My Eyes Off You,” and “December, 1963 (Oh What A Night).” You’ll enjoy the backstory, songs, dances and theatrical impact ‘Jersey Boys’ provides.

“Beautiful – The Carole King Story” is on tour till the end of the year. Carole King grew up in the heart of New York, not as a singer or star, but as a songwriting teenager who was discovered by the Brill Building (the famous New York music publishing and songwriting safe harbor). If you love Carole King and her music, and are willing to be entertained with her early days and life story, then ‘Beautiful’ is you for.
