Grammy Hall of Fame Inductees

26 songs, Louis Armstrong, Fleetwood Mac, Miles Davis, the Grateful Dead, Roberta Flack, and Blondie have been selected to be in the Grammy Hall of Fame.

There are many ways to get into the Grammy Hall of Fame: by Lifetime Achievement, Song, Song Writing, Performance, Legend, or in the Music Educator category. The Hall was established in 1973 and is currently run by the Recording Academy.

Here are a few of the songs that are going to be inducted in the 2016 Grammy Hall of Fame…

“American Beauty” by the Grateful Dead was an epic release from 1970, showcasing the influence Bob Dylan and CSNY had on Gerry Garcia.

The Basement Tapes by Bob Dylan and the Band from 1975 was Bob’s 16th studio album, recorded while Bob was recovering from a motorcycle accident in his home in Woodstock, NY. Just this past year, Bob put the very same home (with downstairs recording studio that is off limits) up for rental.
