Rap’s Biggest Names at the Billboard Music Awards

Sunday night all of the stars were out and in attendance at the Billboard Music Awards and plenty of rap stars were recognized for their greatness. The night was filled with great performances and there was even a special tribute done by Madonna. Let’s take a look at what awards the rap and hip hop stars won at the BBMAs…

Fetty Wap was the recipient of the Top New Artist award, but he did lose out on multiple others.

The Weeknd would win eight awards for his work on the album “Beauty Behind the Madness” and all the singles that came with it.

Wiz Khalifa’s hit with Charlie Puth won for Top Hot 100 Song. “See You Again” is sure to touch the heart after watching the music video. It also won for Top Rap Song.

Drake was the winner of the Top Rap Artist award, beating out Fetty Wap, Future, Wiz Khalifa, and Silento.

Meek Mill’s album, “Dreams Worth More Than Money,” was the recipient of the Top Rap Album. It beat out two albums from Drake (one with Future), Dr. Dre’s recent album, and Kendrick Lamar’s “To Pimp a Butterfly.”

Silento did not walk away from the award show empty handed. He won the Top Streaming Song (Video) award for his single, “Watch Me.”
