Heading into the 2016 Billboard Music Awards, Rihanna was nominated for four awards. Leaving the building on Sunday night, she would be walking home with just one win. Let’s talk about how the night unfolded for the star who is bringing the noise with her album, “Anti.”
The one win Rihanna had at the BBMAs was the Billboard Chart Achievement Award. This was a fan-voted award, so you know she must be happy to take it home.
As for her three other nominations, she was up for Top Female Artist, Top R&B Artist, and Top R&B Album. It’s tough to win when facing the competition she was facing. Adele won the Top Female Artist while The Weeknd won the other two awards listed.
While Rihanna’s night didn’t go as planned, she can’t be too upset with all things considered.
