Over the weekend, we experience the 2016 Billboard Music Awards and what a treat we were in for. There were plenty of amazing performances and big winners. Who are the biggest winners of all time though? More specifically, who has won the most hardware in one single night? Let’s take a look…
Janet Jackson took home 15 Billboard Music Awards back in 1990. The album that gained this for her was “Rhythm Nation 1814” and it also took home a Grammy. Hits off the album included “Miss You Much,” “Escapade,” “Rhythm Nation,” and “Come Back to Me” among many others.
Whitney Houston also holds the record for most awards won in one single year with 15. She did this back in 1993 because of “The Bodyguard Soundtrack.” That album had one huge hit that we all know and love, “I Will Always Love You.” In 1993, Whitney won 15 of the 16 awards she was nominated for.
