Country music consistently has great fans and followers and that’s exactly what we witnessed when looking at Billboard’s calculations for their top 40 paid artists. Of those 40, eight are from the country format, which is pretty impressive if you ask us.
At the top of the list is Taylor Swift, but Kenny Chesney is “right behind” her. Although he finished 2015 as the second highest earning artist, he’s almost doubled up by Taylor. He earned $39.8 million in 2015!
Luke Bryan ranks seventh on the list bringing in just over $23 million. Of the $23.1 million he earned last year, $17.9 million of it came from touring.
Jason Aldean and Shania Twain rank 11th and 12th when it comes to highest paid earning artists in 2015. Like most artists on this list of 40, the majority of the earnings came from touring and this is the case with these two.
Other artists in side the top 40 include Florida Georgia Line, Brad Paisley, Toby Keith, and Eric Church.
