The Best Songs From the Movies We Love

Movies and music often times go hand in hand in telling a story on the silver screen, and we’ve decided to share the best songs from the movies we love. There are so many we need three days to give the topic its due. Here’s part one of the ‘Great Classic Rock Songs on the Silver Screen.’

Bob Seger’s “Shakedown” appeared in the Eddie Murphy movie “Beverly Hills Cop II” and was the perfect song for the perfect comedy-crime movie.

Producer John Hughes brought the house down with the Simple Minds song “Don’t You (Forget about me)” in the 80s classic ‘The Breakfast Club’ proving that the song had more staying power than most of the actors in the film.

Who could forget the use of Huey Lewis and the News tune “The Power of Love” in the movie ‘Back to the Future?’ It’s hard to believe the movie and song are over 30 years old, but we’re all getting just a little bit older.
