The Good and Bad of Week One in the MLB – Part Two

On Tuesday we discussed the best teams in the MLB as of the first week, so of course it’s time to talk about the worst. Shield your eyes if you’re a fan of one of these teams mentioned below. The slow start doesn’t mean you’re doomed, but your team might want to turn it around fast before it gets too ugly. (Please note standings are as of Tuesday morning).

There are only two teams who have yet to win a game and they are the Twins and the Braves. Amazingly, these teams aren’t necessarily getting blown out, but just not finishing teams off. The Braves are 0-6, but have multiple blown leads in the seventh inning or later. To be fair, they’ve played games against the Cardinals and Nationals to start the season, likely two of the best teams in the National League this season.

The worst teams beyond those two are the Diamondbacks and Mariners at 2-5 and the Rays at 2-4. Amazingly, the Indians are just 2-2. Mix bad weather with bad luck and you have multiple game that have already been postponed. They’re in for a rough summer with all of the games they have to make up.
