Ellie Goulding the Top Female on IFPI Most Played Chart

Every year, the International Federation of the Phonographic Industry (IFPI) releases their charts for many different subjects. One of those this past weekend was the most played songs of 2015. One giant name was on the list as well as many other songs we’re sure you’ve heard thousands of times.

Ellie Goulding found herself inside the top 10 and as the top digital song for all females. Adele’s “Hello” would have likely surpassed her song “Love Me Like You Do” if it had been out for more than two months, but that doesn’t take away from Ellie’s success. The song was a major hit in part because of it’s connection with Fifty Shades of Grey, the hit movie.

Let’s take a look at the top 10 songs from the chart…

1. Charlie Puth f/ Wiz Khalifa – See You Again
2. Mark Ronson f/ Bruno mars – Uptown Funk
3. Ed Sheeran – Thinking Out Loud
4. Maroon 5 – Sugar
5. Major Lazer f/ MO and DJ Snake – Lean On
6. Ellie Goulding – Love Me Like You Do
7. Adele – Hello
8. Taylor Swift – Blank Space
9. Omi – Cheerleader
10. Jason Derulo – Want to Want Me
