The 20th Annual Webby Awards isn’t all about music or television. They do a great job of honoring social media, games, apps, and sports stars. Surprisingly enough, Carmelo Anthony has been honored with a nomination for the Best Web Personality/Host (Online Film & Video) award.
This award is unique with other nominations for it including Comedians in Cars Getting Coffee, The Slow Mo Guys, Tyler Oakley, and Kid President. What an interesting group of nominations!
There is one sports specific award and that is Sports (Social). The nominations for this include Wall of Jordan, #SendBadLuck, NHL #MyPlayoffsMoment, Wimbledon 2015: Sharing the Moments that Matter, and Gamedayplus.
You can find out the winners for the Webby Awards on April 26, but the actual winners won’t be honored until May 16.
