Rush’s Drummer, Neil Peart, Authors a Book

Neil Peart, the longtime drummer of Rush, has written a book entitled ‘Far and Wide: Bring that Horizon to Me’ that will be the ‘must have’ of every Rush fan. The book will be a bit of a twist as Neil is an avid biker, thus the book will feature the memories of the R40 Tour, describing 35 concerts, 17,000 biker miles, and 90 days of music.

Geddy, Neil and Alex are Rush, the three-man rock band from just outside of Toronto. Most fans don’t know that Neil was not the original drummer – that was Canadian John Rutsey – whom Neil would replace in 1974 on the eve of the bands 1st American tour.

Rush has been nominated for seven Grammy awards, although they have yet to win that prestigious honor. They have however earned 24 Gold records, 14 Platinum, and have sold over 50 million albums worldwide.
‘Far and Wide; Bring that Horizon to Me’ has a tentative release date of mid=September 2016.
