Bob Dylan has been making great music for over 50 years and he’s actually still on tour now with Mavis Staples, one of the fabulous Staples singers.
Robert Allen Zimmerman was born May 24, 1941 and was one of the founders of early 60’s Folk music at a turbulent time with the raging Vietnam War and racial strife, and popular music took an entirely different route.
Bob has already been inducted into the Rock N’ Roll Hall of Fame, The Minnesota Music Hall of Fame, the Nashville Songwriters Hall of Fame, and the National Songwriters Hall of Fame. Bob has also written six books of painting and drawings since 1994.
Bob has also been honored with a Special Medal of Freedom award presented by President Barack Obama a few years ago, earning the coveted honor as an American Icon.
