Tidal is the streaming music service that owns over one million users and is owned by Jay Z. While this number may seem like a lot, we recently discussed with you how Apple had over 11 million subscribers. Nonetheless, Samsung is reportedly looking at acquiring Jay Z’s streaming service The New York Post says.
Jay Z bought the streaming service for $56 million and now Samsung looks to have put themselves in the best position to add Tidal to their company. Google and Spotify have looked into the situation themselves, but are behind Samsung when it comes to talks.
The New York Post says that Tidal is valued at about $100 million according to their sources. It’ll be interesting to see what kinds of moves are made concerning the just over one year old company.
