Kelly Clarkson has had major success in her time as an artist, winning three Grammys since 2004 and being nominated for 10-plus overall. On the other hand, Ellie Goulding has never won a Grammy and came into this year’s award show with only one nomination, this year’s for Best Pop Solo Performance.
Unfortunately for these two, both left the Grammys Monday night without any piece of hardware. Both of these two lost out to Ed Sheeran for Best Pop Solo Performance, while Kelly Clarkson also lost out to Taylor Swift for Best Pop Vocal Album. Can these two really walk away upset after losing to those two amazing artists?
In the end, Clarkson has had plenty of success in the music industry and has actually tested the waters of children’s book writing. Goulding is experiencing her first loss at the Grammys, but has a bright future ahead of her.
