Radiohead are taking their live comeback to Australia and Japan, setting up 21 arena concerts for 2027 after returning to the stage in Europe.
The British band will begin the run May 3 at RAC Arena in Perth, launching a four-show stay in the city. From there, the schedule moves to Melbourne for six performances at Rod Laver Arena between May 13 and May 20.
Sydney gets another six concerts, with Radiohead taking over Afterpay Arena for dates beginning May 25 and continuing through June 1.
The final stretch takes the band to Japan, where five performances are scheduled at GMO Arena Saitama on June 8, 9, 11, 12 and 13.
The Australian dates represent a particularly long-awaited return. Radiohead have not performed in the country since 2012. Japan has also gone years without a Radiohead headline run, although the group appeared at the Summer Sonic festival in 2016.
The 2027 itinerary continues a new chapter for Thom Yorke, Jonny Greenwood, Colin Greenwood, Ed O’Brien and Philip Selway. Radiohead returned to concert stages in 2025 with a series of European arena shows after spending seven years away from live performances as a band.
Rather than racing through dozens of cities, Radiohead are again concentrating multiple performances in a handful of locations. The approach gives fans several opportunities to see the band in each market while keeping the overall touring schedule relatively compact.
Getting tickets will require an extra step. Fans must register through the designated ticket systems before purchasing, a process intended to reduce interference from automated bots and ticket scalpers. Australian buyers who receive access will be limited to four tickets per registration.
And fans hoping this announcement is merely the beginning of a much larger 2027 itinerary should temper their expectations. Radiohead say the Australia and Japan concerts will be their only shows of the year.
The band has, however, left the door open for additional touring elsewhere in the future. For now, Australia and Japan have won the Radiohead lottery.
