Korn’s Jonathan Davis Expands Freak On A Leash Brand With Cat Gear

Jonathan Davis is giving cat owners a chance to bring a little Korn-inspired darkness into their pets’ wardrobes.

The Korn frontman has expanded his Freak On A Leash pet lifestyle brand with a new collection created specifically for cats, marking the company’s first major move into feline accessories after initially building its lineup around dogs.

Launched in 2022, Freak On A Leash takes its name from one of Korn’s best-known songs and channels Davis’ familiar alternative aesthetic into pet products. The latest collection keeps that identity intact while adapting it for considerably smaller four-legged customers.

Among the new offerings are coffin-shaped ceramic bowls in black and light blue, plus several distinctive collars. Choices include a lilac leather studded collar, a blue rhinestone nylon version with dark crystal accents and a black nylon design decorated with leather bat wings.

The collars also incorporate practical features alongside the gothic styling, including bells and breakaway clasps designed with feline safety in mind.

The expansion gives Freak On A Leash a broader reach in the pet market while keeping Davis’ creative fingerprints firmly on the brand. Its existing dog lineup includes collars, leashes, toys, apparel, bowls, charms and other accessories.

There is also a charitable component to the business. Freak On A Leash says 10 percent of sales supports organizations and animal shelters in the Los Angeles area and beyond. Davis has long expressed an interest in animal welfare, including pet adoption and safety.

For Korn fans who also happen to live with cats, the crossover is an unusually natural one. A brand named Freak On A Leash may have started with dogs, but apparently the freaks who refuse to wear a leash were never going to be left out forever.

The Freak On A Leash Cat Collection is available now through the brand’s online store.
