North West’s first headlining concert tour has been called off just days before it was scheduled to begin, bringing an abrupt halt to one of the summer’s most talked-about new hip hop outings.
The Kimokawaii Tour, a co-headlining run with rapper Molly Santana, was expected to launch Aug. 5 in Dallas and travel across North America. Fans soon noticed that several dates had disappeared from ticketing platforms, while the tour’s official website also became unavailable.
The tour was intended to support North’s debut EP, N0rth4evr, and represented a significant milestone in her emerging music career. The 13-year-old artist has recently expanded her profile through live performances and high-profile collaborations, making the tour announcement one of the year’s more closely watched developments among younger hip hop audiences.
Neither North West’s representatives nor Molly Santana’s team have publicly explained why the tour was canceled. Ticket holders are expected to receive refunds through their original point of purchase where applicable.
Despite the disappointing news, both performers have acknowledged their fans. Molly Santana issued an apology to those who purchased tickets, while North reportedly shared her disappointment and suggested she hopes to return with new plans in the future.
