Chris Stapleton, Chaka Khan and Smashing Pumpkins Unite for America250

A star-studded lineup brought music fans together at the Los Angeles Memorial Coliseum on Independence Day as America250 celebrated the nation’s 250th anniversary with a benefit concert supporting Feeding America.

The evening featured an eclectic mix of artists from across the musical spectrum, including Chris Stapleton, Smashing Pumpkins, Chaka Khan, Maren Morris and Queen Latifah. With tickets priced at $17.76 in recognition of the year the United States was founded, organizers aimed to create an accessible celebration centered on music, community and charitable giving.

Queen Latifah guided the audience through the night as host before taking the stage herself for a performance of “U.N.I.T.Y.,” delivering a message of respect and togetherness that matched the event’s theme.

Chris Stapleton closed the show with a soulful set that highlighted his signature blend of country and blues. Joined by his wife, Morgane Stapleton, for “Millionaire,” he wrapped up the evening with the crowd favorite “Tennessee Whiskey,” drawing one of the loudest singalongs of the night.

Smashing Pumpkins energized the audience with a collection of their best-known alternative rock anthems, while Chaka Khan reminded fans why she remains one of music’s most celebrated vocalists with performances of timeless hits including “Ain’t Nobody,” “Tell Me Something Good” and “I’m Every Woman.”

Maren Morris showcased her versatility by moving effortlessly between her pop collaboration “The Middle” and the country anthem “My Church,” demonstrating the broad appeal that has defined her career.

Although advance ticket sales reportedly started slowly, the stadium filled out as the evening progressed, creating an enthusiastic atmosphere for a concert that successfully united multiple generations and musical styles while raising support for hunger relief across the United States.
