In a January 10 appearance as co‑host of the radio show Country Countdown USA, Shelton addressed the rumors that have floated around since late 2025. He recounted how stories claiming he and Stefani were splitting up repeatedly flip from one extreme to another, depending on whether the couple was spotted together in public. The conflicting narratives, he said, illustrate just how unreliable such reports can be.
Shelton’s tone was frank and lightly humorous as he described seeing photos online that looked convincing but were clearly inaccurate — like images of himself wearing clothing he didn’t own or standing near an unfamiliar vehicle. Such experiences have made him skeptical about what circulates on the internet.
Fans have noticed that Shelton and Stefani haven’t appeared on major red carpets together since March of last year, and that absence helped fuel the rumor mill. But recent social media posts — including affectionate moments from holiday celebrations — and statements from sources close to the couple suggest there’s no substance to the claims of marital trouble.
