GWAR, the theatrical heavy metal force known for their outrageous costumes and unrestrained stage presence, has revealed plans for a major U.S. tour in spring 2026. Named The Gor Gor Strikes Back Tour, the journey across the country will see the group joined by longtime metal act Soulfly as direct support, with Australian grind‑infused metal band King Parrot handling opening duties each night.
The tour gets underway on March 19, 2026, in Richmond, Virginia, a city deeply connected to the band’s history, and will run through April 29 in Charlotte, North Carolina. Along the way, fans in more than two dozen cities — including Chicago, Los Angeles, Boston, Houston and Portland — will have a chance to catch GWAR’s visceral live show that blends high‑impact metal with their signature theatricality.
Tickets for the tour will be available to the general public beginning Friday, December 19, 2025, with early access for GWAR mailing list members and local presales earlier in the week. The announcement has already stirred excitement among the band’s fan base, with frontman Blöthar the Berserker promising an experience that doubles down on the band’s tradition of intense performance art and unfiltered metal chaos.
With the spring run supporting their latest creative output and continuing a legacy that spans decades, GWAR’s 2026 tour stands to be one of the more memorable metal outings of the year.
