Chris Martin appears to be striking a new chord in his love life. Just four months after parting ways with longtime partner Dakota Johnson, the Coldplay frontman has reportedly begun dating actress Sophie Turner, the former wife of Joe Jonas.
The budding romance comes with a notable age gap—Martin is 48, while Turner is 29—but that hasn’t slowed speculation about their connection. According to reports, Turner ended her relationship with British aristocrat Peregrine “Perry” Pearson in late September, and just a week later, she was spotted on what insiders describe as a “secret date” with the musician.
Their link may surprise some, but Turner’s admiration for Coldplay is no secret. A video from her time with Jonas shows her visibly thrilled to receive a surprise birthday message from Martin himself, further hinting that the Coldplay singer has long been on her radar.
With both stars now navigating single parenthood, geography could be a factor in their compatibility. Turner recently reaffirmed her commitment to life in southwest London with her daughters Willa and Delphine, while Martin splits his time between the U.S. and the U.K.
Martin shares two children, Apple and Moses, with ex-wife Gwyneth Paltrow, and has been known to maintain a strong co-parenting relationship.
