Charlie Puth has a lot of changes coming—and he’s embracing every one of them.
The pop hitmaker revealed this week that his fourth studio album, Whatever’s Clever!, is set to drop on March 6, 2026 via Atlantic Records. Alongside the announcement, Puth released a nostalgic, synth-soaked music video for the lead single, “Changes”—and tucked a very personal reveal inside the 1980s-themed visual.
About 2 minutes and 30 seconds into the Charlotte Rutherford-directed clip, Puth is joined by his wife, Brooke Sansone, and the couple places their hands on her belly—gently and unmistakably signaling that they’re expecting their first child.
A press release accompanying the video confirmed the happy news, saying the video “reflects on ‘Changes’ both personal and professional, with a sweet cameo from his real-life wife Brooke Sansone.”
Puth and Sansone have been romantically linked since 2022. Longtime family friends, they took their relationship public via Instagram before marrying in September 2024 in a low-key, music-world–laced ceremony. Their baby news marks a new chapter for both artists and fans, many of whom took to the YouTube and Instagram comments to send waves of congratulations.
Musically, Whatever’s Clever! follows Puth’s 2022 self-titled album, Charlie, which produced multiple Billboard Hot 100 hits, including “Light Switch” and “Left and Right” (featuring BTS star Jung Kook).
In support of the new album and single, Puth is currently in residency mode. After a series of intimate, sold-out shows at New York’s Blue Note Jazz Club—featuring surprise guests like Babyface, Jimmy Jam, and Anthony Ramos—he’s set to kick off an eight-night run at Blue Note Los Angeles, beginning Thursday night. For fans at home, the opening show will be livestreamed at 10 p.m. ET/7 p.m. PT.
Whether it’s a new baby, a new sound, or a new season of life, one thing’s for sure: Charlie Puth is fully embracing the changes.
