Blue Jays’ Power Surge: Five Homers Fuel 13–4 Win to Cut ALCS Deficit

The Toronto Blue Jays roared back in Game 3 of the ALCS, unleashing a five-home run barrage in a dominant 13-4 rout of the Seattle Mariners to trim their series deficit to 2-1. Facing elimination pressure after dropping the first two, Toronto exploded in a five-run third inning, punctuated by a two-run blast from Andrés Giménez. From there, the offense never relented: George Springer, Vladimir Guerrero Jr., Alejandro Kirk, and Addison Barger all went deep.

Guerrero Jr. was electric, going 4-for-4 with a home run and two doubles, nearly completing the cycle. On the mound, Shane Bieber weathered a shaky start and settled in, logging six innings with eight strikeouts to earn the win. Seattle’s George Kirby, meanwhile, imploded under pressure, yielding eight runs over just over four innings.

In the late innings, Seattle threatened with back-to-back home runs from Randy Arozarena and Cal Raleigh, but the gap proved insurmountable. The win sends momentum back to Toronto, reminding fans this series is far from over. With Game 4 looming, the Mariners must respond—or risk letting the Jays rearrange the narrative.
