Pulisic Exits Early in USMNT’s Comeback Win Over Australia Amid Injury Concern

During the U.S. Men’s National Team’s 2–1 friendly victory over Australia, Christian Pulisic was substituted in the first half after appearing to aggravate a hamstring issue. Screens showed him limping off the pitch, and head coach Mauricio Pochettino confirmed that the AC Milan star felt something in his hamstring, prompting his exit around the 28th minute.

The match, held at Dick’s Sporting Goods Park in Commerce City, saw the U.S. fall behind early following a strike from Jordan Bos in the 19th minute. However, they rallied thanks to two goals from Haji Wright — one just before halftime and another shortly after the break — both assisted by Cristian Roldán. With Pulisic off the field, Diego Luna stepped in to help stabilize the attack. The U.S. bench depth was tested, but the comeback underscored the team’s resilience and offered momentum heading into upcoming matches.

Pochettino indicated that Pulisic will fly back to Italy for further assessment, and the team will monitor his condition closely. The injury timing adds uncertainty ahead of more critical fixtures as the U.S. fine-tunes its roster for future competitions.
