Iconic rock band Foreigner is set to electrify Cedar Rapids this August with a special stop on their farewell tour at McGrath Amphitheatre. Despite announcing “The Historic Farewell Tour” in 2022, the group continues to tour with surprising energy—and a new frontman—honoring their legendary catalog.
On Monday, August 11, Foreigner will perform at 7:30 PM, with gates opening at 6:30. Special guest Cage Willis, whose Southern‑tinged, genre‑bending style has drawn buzz, will kick off the evening.
Expect to hear enduring hits like “I Want to Know What Love Is,” “Cold As Ice,” and “Waiting for a Girl Like You” in a night steeped in nostalgia.
Though none of the original members remain, bassist Jeff Pilson—who joined in 2004—and longtime vocalist Kelly Hansen continue to deliver the band’s signature power‑ballads and arena rock intensity.
Celebrated earlier this year with induction into the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame, Foreigner continues to honor—and invigorate—their classic-rock legacy through performances that unite past and present fans alike.
