Ranch Dressing Mishap Sends Carly Pearce to the ER — With Plenty of Humor Intact

Country star Carly Pearce turned a routine post-show dinner into a dramatic ER trip following an unexpected accident. After her concert in Holmdel, N.J., on August 8, she tried opening a glass bottle of ranch dressing, only for part of it to snap off and slice her thumb — drawing blood she initially mistook for ketchup.

Fortunately, paramedics were on-site and quickly advised a hospital visit. What started as a quick check turned into a stretcher-equipped ambulance ride because, as Pearce quipped, policy required her to be strapped in. An X-ray confirmed no glass remained in her wound, and she received stitches after enduring a very painful numbing procedure.

With her dominant right thumb injured, daily activities became comically challenging: she struggled to apply makeup, needed help with personal care, and even joked that her assistant nearly had to shave her left armpit.

Battling through the frustration, she’s considering bedazzling her bandage for upcoming shows. Set to perform at the Orange County Fair on August 14, Pearce remains optimistic, reminding fans—and herself—to be mindful when opening bottles—lest they rush in “like a bull in a china cabinet”.
