Versace Releases Donatella’s Final Campaign

It’s the end of the Donatella era at the House of Versace. Last week’s Fall 2025 launch marked her last with the brand after her announcement she was stepping down as Chief Creative Officer, and she went out with, well, style.

As Hypebae reports, Donatella decided to make quite the statement with her final Versace campaign as creative director, by not just celebrating freedom, strength and power, but also ushering in a new chapter by calling on her nearest and dearest collaborators from both past and present. Or, in her words, her “formidable family.”

That “formidable family” includes the likes of supermodels Claudia Schiffer, Kate Moss, Amber Valletta, Kristen McMenamy, Natasha Poly, Saskia de Brauw, Anok Yai, Liu Wen, Mica Argañaraz, Mila Van Eeten and Jacqui Hooper. Behind the lens for the Fall 2025 campaign were photographers and longtime Donatella collaborators Mert and Marcus. “The energy on this campaign was extraordinary. It was all about friendship, loyalty and love,” Donatella said in a statement.

“With this campaign we tried to create something that gives a message of fun, love and looking forward,” the designer, who will take on the title of brand ambassador next, said. “It’s not only about the clothes, it’s about the spirit that is on set. These images were created with soul, they were created with friendship. Every collection is a story, and this is the story of Versace, and I’m always ready for the next chapter.”

Earlier this year, and after months of speculation, Prada Group confirmed it was buying Versace from Capri Holdings for 1.25 billion Euros. In April, Dario Vitale was appointed chief creative officer, succeeding the iconic Versace matriarch after she spent the last three decades at the helm, following her brother Gianni’s – designer and founder of the House of Versace – tragic murder outside of his Miami Beach home in 1997.

And as for the clothing collection itself, it is bold, classic and iconic Versace through and through. The brand’s signature silhouettes appear alongside archival moments, all wrapped up in that signature metallic mesh. The brand’s new Virtus bag also made its debut here. “These images were created to celebrate the soul of the Versace woman,” stated Donatella. “Her strength, her spirit, her attitude and her heart.”
