Cynthia Erivo is the star of Clinique’s campaign for its latest launch, Almost Lipstick in Nude Honey. Joining the 90’s cult-favorite Almost Lipstick Honey family that’s had a resurgence thanks to the TikTok Beauty generation, Nude Honey is a “universally flattering” neutral lip shade that blends warm and cool tones for a sheer finish.
As In Style reports, Erivo’s makeup look in the campaign was designed to subtly elevate her natural beauty. “The neutral palette of the collection perfectly complemented her signature tonal look,” says her makeup artist Joanna Simkin. “While we were on set playing with the product, we loved how the colors elevated her natural tone without overpowering the look.”
In the images, Erivo sports a glowing, softly flushed complexion with winged eyes and lips perfected with Nude Honey—a blend of warm and cool pink pigments that harmonize with your natural tone for a personalized, subtle glow. “I love a natural lip look—something that’s easily wearable from day to night,” explains Erivo. In addition to the classic balm-meets-lipstick formula, there’s also the Clinique Pop Lip + Cheek Oil in Nude Honey, which you can layer on top or wear alone for a dose of shine.
“Nude Honey is a perfect shade that plays up everybody’s natural color, while also being incredibly versatile and buildable to create additional shades,” Simkin said in a statement. “I love combining it with different lipliners for different looks, as the soft neutral tones blend well with every shade.”
