Barbra Streisand Talks Pay Gap, “Meet the Parents 4” Snub

Barbra Streisand isn’t mincing words when it comes to her lingering frustration over unequal pay on the set of Meet the Fockers. In a candid new interview with Variety, the EGOT legend revealed she was “pissed off” to discover she earned less than her male co-stars during her time in the hit Meet the Parents franchise.

“They’d have to pay me a lot of money [to return] because I didn’t get paid what the other people got paid,” Streisand said, referencing the upcoming Meet the Parents 4, slated for release in November 2026.

While Streisand is unlikely to reprise her role as Roz Focker, she’s still tied to the franchise through music. The icon recently collaborated with Meet the Parents 4 star Ariana Grande on the track “One Heart, One Voice,” part of her latest album The Secret of Life: Partners, Volume Two.

Streisand praised Grande’s “wonderful” voice but remained tight-lipped about potential acting projects, hinting only at an unrealized dream to close her film career with Gypsy. For now, she’s focused on music—and an upcoming documentary chronicling her extraordinary life.
