Morgan Wallen and Tate McRae have officially delivered the biggest song in the country. Their new single, “What I Want,” has debuted at No. 1 on the Billboard Hot 100, marking a major milestone for both artists.
The track, featured on Wallen’s newly released album I’m the Problem, launches with massive numbers: over 31 million streams, 2,000 downloads, and 3.9 million in radio impressions during its first week. It also tops the Streaming Songs chart, becoming Wallen’s fifth and McRae’s first No. 1 there.
This is Wallen’s fourth Hot 100 chart-topper and McRae’s first. She previously peaked at No. 3 with her hit “Greedy.” Now, she becomes the first artist of 2025 to top both the Hot 100 and Billboard 200 for the first time.
Wallen currently holds the top three songs on the Hot 100—“What I Want,” “Just in Case,” and the title track “I’m the Problem”—making him the first country artist in history to claim that feat.
With I’m the Problem generating nine top 10s on the chart so far, Wallen continues to dominate the genre and redefine boundaries. The country-pop crossover is more than a trend—it’s the moment.
