Pop provocateur Chappell Roan is no stranger to speaking her truth—and she’s not backing down. In a candid conversation on the Outlaws with TS Madison podcast, the rising star reflected on her so-called “villain eras,” sparked not by scandal but by her refusal to accept disrespect in the industry.

“I’ve had like three villain eras in the past nine months,” Roan, 27, said, pointing to her late rise to fame as a key reason for her strong boundaries. “I’ve been treated better at my donut shop job than I have on a f—— carpet.”

Roan, best known for “Pink Pony Club” and “Good Luck, Babe!,” recounted harsh treatment by press and photographers, recalling her viral VMAs moment when she clapped back at a heckler on the red carpet. “Don’t. Not me, bitch!” she famously said—earning cheers from onlookers.

Drawing parallels to the public mistreatment of Paris Hilton, Britney Spears, and Lindsay Lohan, Roan emphasized her need for self-protection. “If I do not stand up for myself, I will quit because I cannot bear this.”

It’s not about rebellion—it’s about survival. And Roan is making it clear: she’ll rewrite the rules before letting the industry break her.
