Keith Urban is set to make ACM history once again. On May 8, during the 60th Academy of Country Music Awards, the country superstar will receive the prestigious Triple Crown Award — a distinction achieved by only 11 other artists in ACM history.
The award recognizes performers who have won new artist, artist of the year in their category, and entertainer of the year. Urban’s path spans nearly two decades, from winning Top New Male Vocalist in 2001 to clinching Entertainer of the Year in 2019, following Male Vocalist wins in 2005 and 2006.
Urban’s achievement is more than just a milestone — it’s a global inspiration. Born in New Zealand and raised in Australia, Urban is the first non-American to earn the honor. His journey from dreaming of Nashville as a seven-year-old to selling out arenas worldwide is a testament to persistence and passion.
“I came halfway around the world to live in Nashville,” Urban reflected. “Hopefully it inspires others chasing the same dream.”
The ACM Awards will stream live from Frisco, Texas, hosted by Reba McEntire, with Urban honored in a tribute featuring Brothers Osborne, Chris Stapleton, and Megan Moroney.
